LUMINETTE glasses
|
Up until recently, light therapy used the whole of the white light spectrum. Since 2001, the Liège University research team and their industrial partners have created and developed an efficient and exclusive light therapy system, allowing patients to be exposed to light at a much shorter distance without harming the eyes in any way. This research program called « Eclat » (or glint) has been financed by the Wallonne region in Belgium. Years of research have finally given birth to a revolutionary product; the LUMINETTE light therapy glasses. This light equipment, practical and efficient, guarantees a level of comfort previously unknown.
The LUMINETTE uses a refractive lens made up of a thin layer of resin which gives a lightly outstanding surface obtained by holographic procedures. Placed out of range above each eye, the source of light (emitted by four miniature electroluminescent diodes – LED) reflects onto a peak or visor, (fixed in front of the glasses) which has been engraved by a laser beam. This refractive lens allows to concentrate the beams of light towards a specific point, thus towards the lower half of the retina - what ever the angle of the eye. Placed on one of the branches of the LUMINETTE light therapy glasses, the rechargeable battery lasts for a maximum of one hour. |

LUMINETTE light therapy glasses are the only light therapy device which, like the sun, allow light to penetrate naturally into the eye, reaching the zones the most susceptible to treatment without affecting vision.
